About NorteShopping
Inaugurated in October 1998, NorteShopping is known for its size, distinctiveness and innovative character, and is a leader in its catchment area. Inspired by the theme of Industry, the pieces present in its interior design, together with its size, make it the only shopping centre in the north of Portugal where you can find a huge variety of products and services. It currently contains more than 240 shops, over a Gross Leasable Area (GLA) of 55,675 m2, ensuring a comprehensive retail offer, including prestigious Portuguese and international brands, some of which can only be found in this centre.
It also features a food court comprising more than 50 spaces, an eight-screen cinema complex, free parking, personalised VIP valet parking (Mr. Parking), a children’s play area (NorteLand) and a Health and Fitness Club (Solinca). Its prime location is a differentiating factor for visitors, since it can be reached by means of an extensive public transport network and a metro station (Sete Bicas), making it easy to travel between the centre and the most important areas of the city of Porto. The centre also features a space for art exhibitions (Silo – Espaço Cultural), designed by the famous Portuguese architect Souto Moura, and which has attracted numerous visitors, tourists especially, since it first opened its doors in 1999.
